Day 1 – Rome: Arrival/ Transfer to Florence
Upon arrival at Roma Fiumicino Airport, you will be met by your private English speaking driver who will transfer you directly to your hotel in Florence ( approximately 3 hours) Hotel JK Place Firenze 5*****. We will book: 1 Double Deluxe room. Check in and the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 – Tuscany: Cheese Experience in Pienza & Wine Tasting in Montalcino
After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your private English speaking driver and get ready to enjoy a unique day! First of all, you will visit the charming village of Pienza, a small town in the center of Tuscany. UNESCO declared it as a World Heritage Site for its artistic beauty and historical importance. This town is completely Renaissance style, because was been built by order of the Pope Pio II – Enea Silvio Piccolomini 1458-1464– who decided to transform his tiny home town into a beautiful place for him and his court to be protected and relaxed near the water risings of Valdorcia. Pienza is also the capital city of the “Pecorino” – sheep cheese, and every year organizes on the second Sunday of September, the “Fiera del Cacio” or the Festival of the local sheep cheese. The milk is particularly aromatic because the configuration of the clayey land scattered with many aromatic herbs where the sheep all graze freely, producing a perfumed milk and cheese. Pienza Pecorino cheese has the D.O.P. European label (which means a Protected Origin Denomination). Here, you will have a private visit with lunch and taste their Aged Pecorino cheese. After lunch, you will meet up again with your private driver and make your way to Montalcino for your wine tour. Here you will visit a very well-known winery that produces one of the best Brunello di Montalcino wines in the area. Enjoy a visit of the winery, which will leave you with lasting memories of this day and the flavors that have tantalized your palate from the wine tasting of their delicious wines, including the renowned Brunello Riserva. End of the tour and transfer back to your hotel in Florence. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 3 – Florence: Walking Tour with Food tour & Accademia Gallery
Breakfast at your hotel and meet your private English speaking guide in the hotel lobby for a walking tour of Florence. You will have the opportunity to observe from close up the priceless Duomo with the incredible dome built by Brunelleschi, the largest brick dome in the world, stretching protectively over the Florentine Cathedral. You will also see its splendid bell tower: the famous Campanile of Giotto, 700 years old. Next stop will be the political center of the city that will open its doors to us, offering you the chance to visit the Palazzo della Signoria, seat of the secularists' power and once home to the Medici ruling family, today known as the Palazzo Vecchio and also seat of the municipality, as well as the oldest "piazza" (square) in Florence, Piazza della Repubblica, built on top of the Ancient Roman Forum, surrounded today by historic cultural cafès, where young intellectual Florentines like to gather. Your walking will lead you to the nearby San Lorenzo Market, where you will have a taste of Tuscany’s “green gold”, its renowned olive oil, as well as a variety of cheeses, salami and prosciutto, truffle sauces and balsamic vinegar. You will also have a wine tasting where you will enjoy some of the region’s finest wines. Still not full yet? Next stop will be at a local “fiaschetteria” where you will have a tasting of some of the city’s traditional recipes. The tour will finish in grand style with one of the finest gelato parlors in the city where you can pick your favorite flavor made with genuine and fresh products. After this culinary experience, you will discover the Accademia Gallery Museum where the most symbolic work of Michelangelo is housed: Il David, an expression of beauty and physical perfection. It also has other sculptures by Michelangelo and an incredible collection of Renaissance paintings. You will be able admire the “Il Ratto delle Sabine” by Giambologna (The Rape of the Sabine Women) a 500 year old plaster cast of the statue in the main Signoria square, discover why all artists made plaster casts but not Michelangelo. Enjoy the beautiful “La Madonna ed il Bambino” (Madonna and Child) and “la Madonna del Mare” (Madonna of the Sea) by Botticelli and many more. End of the tour and free afternoon at leisure.
Day 4 – From Florence to Sorrento – Romantic Private Boat Tour : Positano at Sunset & Dinner
After breakfast and check out meet your private English speaking driver at the hotel for a direct transfer to the train station. Take your fast train to Naples, where you will arrive in about 3 hours. At Napoli Centrale train station meet your private English driver who will transfer you directly to your luxury boutique hotel in Sorrento: Hotel Bellevue Syrene 5*****. We will book 1 Double comfort room with sea view. Check in and rest of the day at leisure. At around 6:00 pm take the elevator from the hotel that will take you down to their private beach, from there you can reach in 5 minutes, by foot, the port where your Captain will be waiting for you. You will embark on a private boat for an outstanding cruise that will leave you with memories of a lifetime of the romantic Amalfi Coast. Sail into the spectacular sunset that bathes the Amalfi Coast in a golden light. Highlights of your sunset cruise include the famous Li Galli islands once owned by Rudolf Nureyev and dropping anchor for a swim in a secluded Positano cove. The Li Galli islands feature in Homer’s Odyssey and in early Greek mythology with the ancients claiming the islands were home to three enchanting sirens who lured sailors to the shore with their songs. The Li Galli Islands have also hosted a rich tapestry of film makers and actors and are a famous landmark on the Amalfi Coast. Your Captain will escort you to a wonderful restaurant (payable locally) and after dinner you will cruise back to Sorrento with memories of a unique evening cruising along the enchanting Amalfi Coast. Once in Sorrento meet your private driver and transfer back to your luxury hotel in Sorrento.

Day 5 – Sorrento: Private tour of the Amalfi Coast & Unique Lunch in Ravello
After breakfast at your hotel, you will meet your private English speaking driver for a full day tour along the Amalfi Coast. He will drive you along the enchanting rout of the “Divine Coast”: on the way, you will have stops at some incredible panoramic viewpoints to take some breathtaking pictures. Then, you will have time to discover and relax on the top part of Positano, a small village with Mediterranean styled pure white washed houses with bright pink bougainvillea plants on the facades. Then, your driver will escort you to Ravello for relaxing moments on the picturesque square where you can admire the magnificent panorama that has inspired poets, philosophers and beauty lovers for many centuries. Here, we will book an unforgettable lunch in a unique location: at the Belmond Hotel Caruso. Famed for its superb selection of fresh, local Mediterranean dishes, Belmond Hotel Caruso’s Belvedere Restaurant offers diners an unforgettable experience. Chef Mimmo di Raffaele takes guests on a tantalizing journey of discovery. Traditional Italian specialties inspire innovative dishes. Dine in the elegant indoor dining room, the atmospheric outdoor terrace, or in the al fresco area close to the infinity pool, surrounded by ancient rose bushes. After lunch, you will proceed to the nearby Amalfi, one of the oldest Maritime Republics. Here, you will have free time at leisure to wander through the labyrinth of streets and alleys and admire the magnificent and imposing facade of the cathedral of Saint Andrea with her unique Arab Norman and Romanesque Style. Later, in the afternoon, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Sorrento.
Day 6 – Sorrento: Tour of Capri
Today, you will have the chance to enjoy the splendid sea surrounding the strip of land that is called the Sorrentina Peninsula and also discover the secrets of the Island of Capri. After breakfast, reach the Sorrento harbor , where you will embark on the public hydrofoil or fast ferry to Capri. The boat trip takes approximately 30 minutes, with beautiful views of the Sorrento coastline. Here, you will be greeted by your private English speaking guide and personal driver and transfer to the center of the island to soak up the rich mix of history, nature and culture. You will visit the "Giardini di Augusto" where you will be able to admire the "Faraglioni" (the three tall rocks), famous throughout the world and symbol of the island. Then you will reach the famous "Piazzetta", the undisputed symbol of the elegance and prestige of Capri. Free time for lunch at leisure.
After lunch, you will travel North to Anacapri, where you will discover the more authentic side of this island while walking the peaceful and colorful streets. Then, you will reach the Blue Grotto and visit inside to see the incredible color of this natural cave (entrance tickets to be paid on the spot). Later you will be accompanied back to the port where you will depart back to Sorrento. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 7 – Sorrento/Rome: Vatican City Tour & Happy Hour
After breakfast and check out meet your private English speaking driver for a transfer to your hotel in Rome : Grand Hotel De La Minerve 5*****. We will book 1 Double Deluxe room. Check in and lunch at leisure. In the late afternoon, meet your private English-speaking guide and driver in the hotel lobby for a transfer to the Vatican Museums for a 3 hr guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
Once inside you will enjoy a buffet with aperitif in the magnificent setting of the Pinecone courtyard before your visit. There are no queues and no waiting as your specialist guide introduces you to the masterpieces of such great painters as Raffaello and Michelangelo. This is one of the greatest collections of art in the world, a collection gathered over the centuries by the Popes. You will be enchanted by the stunning vision of the celebrated Raphael’s rooms and totally enthralled by the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. After the visit you will meet up again with your driver for a transfer back to your hotel or directly to your restaurant for dinner.
Day 8 – Ancient Rome Tour
After breakfast meet your private driver and guide in the hotel lobby and you will make your way to the Colosseum. You will walk towards the glories of the Eternal City and, layer by layer, discover how centuries of history forged what was once the ‘Caput Mundi’. Specially designed to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience and in-depth understanding of the splendors of Ancient Rome, this tour will lead you to the most significant monuments and sights of this spectacular open-air museum. Your visit begins as you access the Colosseum, Rome’s most stunning landmark and one of Ancient Rome’s most vital social centers. Once inside the amphitheater, you will tread the same ground that the gladiators did and where ferocious beasts once fought and emperors, with a mere gesture of the thumb, decided the fate of slaves and prisoners. Your professional guide will lead you through the ruins and bring to life the dramas that unfolded within these ancient walls. You will climb the Palatine Hill, the legendary birthplace of Rome where Romulus and Remus are said to have been raised by the she-wolf. From here enjoy a breathtaking view of the Fora and the Circus Maximus where chariots once raced round the 620 meter track built in the VI century BC. The tour will end with a stroll along the Via Sacra which is the main route through the Roman Forum. After the tour transfer back to your hotel and the rest of the day at leisure.
